I have made  process video of today's cardset.  Now don't laugh at my video as I am well aware I look like I am performing CPR with my MISTI tool when stamping the background stamp as I have used textured cardstock and sometimes you need that little bit of elbow grease to have a good stamped impression.  hehehe

I love the range of colour powders that WOW Embossing has, you can pretty much grab a colour to match your cardstock or very close to. So for today I have used a tone on tone technique where I match  the embossing powder with  my cardstock as I wanted to create a simple yet effective DIY pattern paper. I wanted my cardset t…

Best in You...

This month we're shouting loud and proud about some of our latest releases.

I've used the gorgeous Catherine Pooler Best In You stamp set along with some of my WOW! favourites. Please note, there's no teal, I know, seriously!!! :) Picks myself off the floor !!!!
To do the sentiment in two colours, start off by masking off the word 'Best" ink up the rest of the stamp and emboss with WOW! Bird of Paradise, clean off the stamp and mask off the rest of the words, this time leaving the word 'Best' on show, ink up and emboss with WOW! Pink Robin

Using the solid circle stamp emboss with WOW! Pink Robin, to give a slightly darker shade, emboss twice, I did this with the top and bottom one, I then used WOW! Sunset Boulevard for the swirl in the centre. Continue using WOW! Sunset Boulevard for the smaller swirl stamp.

Sorry, my light went a bit weird !!!
I used the gorgeous, seriously this is stunning, WOW! Kiwi krush for the leaves and WOW! Goose for the dots.

Mother's Day

Hi All and welcome to a simple yet fun card playing with Ellen Hudson Botanicals stampset. I loved playing with this colour combination as I feel this is such a classy combo.  Here in Australia we are celebrating Mother's Day  so that is the reason for the extra blog post and video process.
I have first heat embossed the floral image with Metalline First Frost, then the leaves with Metallic Silver and added the circles with white embossing powders. Making the focus being on the bottom right hand side so I can place the sentiment towards the top left.
To make the embossing pop that little more extra I have ink blended with Distress Oxide Hickory smoke ink with a very light hand then wiping excess ink off with a tissue. It is a subtle technique but effective for heat resisting.
To finish the card off I have added some Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets in various sizes.
I have created a process video of today's card creation.

Hope you enjoyed today's bonus card creation.

Glintz Colours On Collage by Jaine

I love a bit of collage and for a while now I've been meaning to try out one of the black pages in my Prima Mixed Media journal. I gathered together a few neutral papers like coffee dyed paper, a dried out tea bag, some calico and a few smaller bits and pieces with the same colour theme.
I thought the new Glintz colours would look amazing on some of these different backgrounds especially as they have a pearly finish on some gorgeous subtle colours.

I wasn't disappointed with the results. Below you can see the Oyster on black which is hardly there at all in certain light.

The Rose Glintz too blends in to this piece of coffee dyed paper and harmonizes with the postage stamp in the centre of the page.

I was most curious to see how the Aztec would look on the coffee paper and I deliberately chose a piece with a huge coffee stain on the side.

It came out beautifully with a subtle shine of coppery pink.

I thoroughly enjoyed putting this page together with some stitching, washi …

5 cards in 5 days with WOW | Masking Technique with Embossing Powders

Hello there! It Is Ola and I am back with my final card for my series of
''5 cards in 5 days with WOW ''. Today I am going to show you how to create a floral card using Masking Technique.
For this cardmaking tutorial you will need: White Card blank White cardstock Gold pearlescent card WOW Embossing pad Heat tool Embossing powders Floral stamp set
I have started this card by stamping and fussy cutting the  flowers of a scrap piece of paper to create a mask. Masking technique is used to create illusion that one object is behind the other. I will be creating vision that one of the flower is behind other, as well as my leaves will be behind my bouquet.
Let me show you!

I have stamped large flower on the top left corer of white cardstock with WOW clear embossing pad and gently covered with mask. Then I have stamped smaller flower on top of my mask shifting slightly to the right. When I remove my mask it looks like the smaller flower is hidden behind larger flower.
Lets repeat all steps …

5 cards in 5 days with WOW | ''Emboss and colour in on Vellum'' technique

Hi Guys! I am back with card number four for my
'' 5 cards in 5 days with WOW'' series of cards.

Today I am going to show you ''Emboss and colour in on Vellum'' technique.

You will need : White Card blank White cards stock Patterned paper Vellum Floral Stamp set Copic or any other markers
So lets get started by stamping the floral stamp on a 10 x 14 cm white card stock piece in the top right corner.  I have used ''Tonic Studio'' Flourish stamp set and Ebony Black embossing powder.
I have trimmed a vertical strip out of embossed cardstock in the way that part of the leaves are hanging out.
For my next step I have used patterned paper to replace the strip of cardstock which I have just cut off.
Then I have stamped same stamp on a vellum using Embossing pad and heat emboss with Clear Matt Dull embossing powder.
Using circle cutting dies, I have die cut my flower which I have stamped on the vellum and on the reversed side I have used Copic Markers to colo…
